"Critical" Roboticist / Designer / Engineer / (Social) Scientist
I'm an assistant professor (biträdande universitetslektor) at the Department of Information Technology (Division Vi3; Human-Machine Interaction Unit) at Uppsala University in Sweden.
I hold an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol (UK) and received my PhD in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (via the FARSCOPE centre for doctoral training at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory) in 2020. Following my PhD I was awarded a Digital Futures postdoctoral research fellowship at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) where I worked at the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning.
I work to unlock and harness the power of human-robot interaction "for good" - to try and ensure we're engineering interactions that are socially sustainable and support human flourishing.
